Quality of Life Update: Payments
The Imporium checkout for the Card of the Week has been upgraded, and will go live on the 25th of August. The biggest change: paying and receiving your card now happens as a single action on the backend. If your payment goes through, the card is yours — no in-between state, no waiting to see what happens next.
What's Changed, What's Improved
- Payment guarantees delivery. If something fails, the whole thing cancels — you're not charged, and no card changes hands. Half-finished orders aren't a category that exists anymore.
- More ways to pay. GODS still works exactly like it did. You can now also pay with USDC, ETH, or IMX — whichever you're already holding. The checkout handles the conversion behind the scenes; there's nothing to swap first.
- No network fees on you. Those are covered if you use IMX Passport. You only need to hold whatever you're paying with.
- Prices track the market continuously, instead of being set once a week and drifting further from reality every day until the next update.
- Everything happens in one place. No more separate order page — the whole purchase happens in the store, and your card lands in your collection straight away.

What You Can Expect
When you check out with crypto, your wallet will ask you to confirm twice: once to approve a spending limit, and once to confirm the payment itself. For those new to this, that's not two charges. Imagine tapping your card and then entering your PIN — two moments, one purchase.
What's Not Changing
The Card of the Week itself is the same — same weekly rhythm & rarities. Where your card ends up hasn't changed either: straight into your collection, fully yours, tradeable exactly like before.
Questions You'll Probably Have
Why did you make this change? We were seeing orders occasionally stall in the moment between payment and delivery — rare, but real. We saw the chance to close that gap completely, so we did.
Why am I confirming twice? First confirms the amount you're allowing, second makes the payment. Safety step — the store can never take more than you approved.
Was I charged twice? No. One payment, ever. The first step is permission, not a charge.
Why is the price different from yesterday? Because it's tracking the market continuously now instead of updating once a week.
My payment failed — did I lose my money? No. Payment and delivery are one action. If it doesn't complete, nothing happens — no charge, no card. Try again.
Where did the order page go? Gone, on purpose. Everything happens in the store now, and your card lands immediately.
Can I still pay with GODS? Yes, exactly as before. It's just not your only option anymore.

Try it out on the 25th. If the two confirmations still trip you up after reading this, that's exactly what Discord is for — come tell us. See you in the arena, Mortals.
