Conquest: A New Permanent Home for Competitive Play
There hasn’t been a true competitive mode in Gods Unchained that puts genuine stakes behind every match you play. Ranked tells you where you sit on the ladder. Sealed tests you in a controlled-pack format. Neither of those rewards a clean string of wins the way a real competitive run should. Conquest does. It launches 16 July 2026, it’s here permanently, and it’s built for Mortals who play this game to win.
What Conquest is
Conquest is a paid-entry, skill-based mode where you play a five-game run with your own constructed deck. Win count determines your reward. Lose all five and you walk away with a small consolation. Win all five and the rewards open up considerably. Everything in between scales accordingly.
You bring your own deck; you can swap decks and gods between games in a run. There’s no time pressure on finishing — a run stays open as long as you want it to.
The mode is restricted to players at rank 10 or higher. This is deliberate. Conquest is a place where the floor of play is genuinely competitive, and the rank requirement is there to protect that. If you’re below rank 10, climbing to it is your first move.
Quick summary:
- Format: Five-game runs with your own constructed deck
- Entry: Paid entry 50GODS, rank 10 or higher required
- Rewards: Scale with wins — more wins, more rewards
- Flexibility: Swap decks and gods between games. Retire between matches. No time pressure on completing a run.
- Restrictions: Mythic 1-of-1 cards are not playable
How the rewards work
Rewards in Conquest scale with wins. A losing run still returns a portion of your entry. A winning run pays back significantly more.
What a five-win run earns you:
- $GODS tokens
- A Legendary pack
- A Conquest reward pack containing exclusive cosmetics and a chance at a Variant
Rewards launching in July’s first month:
- Luminious Twins — the first-ever animated card in Gods Unchained. An Epic-rarity Anubian creature exclusive to Conquest, 4-mana 3/4. Roar: if you have another Luminious Twins in your deck, gain +1/+1. Afterlife: shuffle back into your deck, keeping all buffs.

The leaderboard
Every Conquest run feeds into a monthly leaderboard. You’ll see where you sit, how your win rate stacks up against every other player in the mode, and how often the players above you are closing out clean five-win runs.
At launch the leaderboard is about visibility. There aren’t rewards tied to where you finish — yet. The system is there to let competitive players see how they stack up against each other and to push the natural rivalry that comes with that. We’ve also capped how many five-win runs count toward your score in a month.
The reward layer is coming. When it arrives, staying near the top of the leaderboard will mean something real. For now, you’ll have to earn your spot at the top.
Why we built it
Gods Unchained has had a competitive scene for years. Ranked has done its job as a climbing structure. Tournaments come and go. What we didn’t have was a permanent place for top players to put real stakes behind a string of wins and get something meaningful back — something that wasn’t locked to a once-a-year event or dependent on a draft-style format.
Conquest is that home. It’s built to reward consistency, to give competitive players a reason to keep their deckbuilding sharp month after month, and to make a clean five-win run feel like the achievement it should be. It’s here permanently. It’s here to stay.
How to get ready
If you’re at rank 10 or higher already, you’re ready. Sharpen your deck, follow Discord for launch timing, and we’ll see you in the queue on 16 July 2026.
If you’re at rank 9 or below, the path is clear: climb. Conquest isn’t going anywhere — it’s a permanent mode — so the climb you do now is the climb that gets you in for the first month’s exclusive content and the first available Variants.
Conquest launches 16 July 2026. See you on the ladder, Mortals.
