Q: What is staking in Gods Unchained?
A: Staking is a way for active players to earn passive $GODS token rewards. It’s designed to reward you for your participation in the ecosystem. Simply hold $GODS in your compatible wallet and meet the eligibility requirements outlined below in Part 2.
Q: What is passive staking?
A: Our staking program is designed to be user-friendly. There is no locking of your tokens. This means you always have access to your $GODS and can use or trade them at any time, without missing out on rewards.
Part 2: How to Participate (Getting Started & Staying Eligible)
These are the rules of the game. Follow these, and you're set to earn.
Q: What do I need to do to be eligible for staking rewards?
A: It’s simple! You just need to hold any amount of $GODS in your wallet (no minimum!) and complete one or more of the following actions:
- Play at least one ranked match of Gods Unchained.
- Purchase a pack from the most recent active sale.
- Buy or sell a Gods Unchained card on a marketplace.
Q: Where exactly do I need to hold my $GODS tokens?
A: You can hold your $GODS in any wallet supported on the Immutable zkEVM network. For the best and most seamless experience, we recommend using MetaMask or Immutable Passport.
Q: I’m a new player. How do I get $GODS tokens to stake?
A: There are a few easy ways to get your hands on $GODS:
- Centralized Exchanges (CEXs): Purchase them on platforms like Coinbase, Bitget, or OKX and then deposit them on Immutable zkEVM using the Immutable Toolkit
- Decentralized Exchanges (DEXs): Swap them on Immutable zkEVM using the Immutable Toolkit or GODS.Exchange.
- Play-and-Earn: Remember, Gods Unchained is Play-and-Earn! You can earn $GODS rewards simply by playing through the Daily Play & Earn program.
Q: What are the recommended exchanges to buy from?
A: For a comprehensive and up-to-date list of all exchanges that list $GODS, check out its page on CoinMarketCap.
Part 3: Understanding Your Rewards (The Nitty-Gritty)
This is what everyone wants to know: how much, and how often?
Q: How are my staking rewards calculated?
A: Rewards are distributed from a fixed maximum pool of tokens (let's call it amount X). Your share of the rewards is directly proportional to your share of the total $GODS held by all eligible wallets during the snapshot period.
- Example: If you hold 0.005% of the total $GODS in the staking pool, you will earn 0.005% of the reward pool (X) for that period.
Q: How often are rewards distributed?
A: Snapshots for rewards are taken weekly, with distributions occurring monthly.
Q:Do I need to claim my rewards?
A: Yes, you do. You can claim your rewards at your convenience after they have been calculated. Remember that reward calculations are based solely on the $GODS held in your wallet during each new weekly period, and do NOT include any unclaimed rewards.
Part 4: The Migration (For Existing Stakers)
Already staked on Immutable X? Here’s your essential guide to the transition.
Q: I staked before on Immutable X. What specific actions do I need to take now?
A: The staking program is now exclusively on Immutable zkEVM. If you haven't already, you must migrate your tokens from Immutable X to Immutable zkEVM to participate. Please follow our official migration guide for step-by-step instructions.
Q: What happens to my unclaimed rewards from the old staking system?
A: Any unclaimed rewards from the previous staking program on Immutable X have been forfeited and are not eligible for migration to the new system.
Q: How do I qualify for rewards during the staking program's downtime?
A: As long as you met the eligibility criteria outlined in Part 2 during the weeks of the migration, you will qualify for rewards for those periods. The system tracks your eligibility weekly, so your activity is what counts.
